People and invitations

Invite people, set their roles, offices and profiles, and disable access.

At Admin → People invite people by email, choosing:

  • their role in the installation: administrator or member;
  • their language;
  • for members, the offices they join and their role in each: managers also edit and review the office wiki;
  • the colleague profiles granted to them.

Administrators belong to no office: they already work in every office through their role, so a member promoted to administrator leaves the offices they had. Members without an office are flagged, and their number shows next to People in the menu. People without a profile are labelled No profiles: they cannot create colleagues until they are granted one.

The invitation link is valid for 7 days. If the email could not be sent, the link is shown to you at once, so you can share it another way; otherwise it is shown only when you ask for it, because whoever has the link can create the account. You can resend or revoke invitations, change roles, memberships and profiles, and disable access: the person's sessions end immediately and their credentials are deleted.

Each person's page also lists the command types they chose to "Always allow". Turn one off and their colleagues ask every time for that type: the person can only allow it once, and cannot make it "always" again until an administrator turns it on again.
