How colleagues use the wiki

What a colleague reads before answering, and how it changes pages safely.

With every message a colleague receives the list of pages and the pages closest to the message, found by word and semantic search and widened two steps along the related pages. It cites the pages it used under the answer, and when the wiki does not cover something it says so instead of guessing.

Colleagues change part of a page by replacing the exact text they mean. A rewrite that would keep less than 70% of a page over 1,500 characters is stopped unless the colleague says the cut is intended, and links, headings, addresses, dates or commands that a change would lose are pointed out, so they can be put back. Colleagues are told never to merge statements with different numbers, addresses, versions or dates.
